Hello, I am Wei

I live in a flat at Blk 79 Toa Payoh Lorong 4, on the second floor, where the corridor catches the late-afternoon sun if the weather cooperates. I am in my mid-thirties, work in an administrative role near the CBD, and come home most evenings to cook something simple and read until I fall asleep on the sofa — which happens more often than I admit.

DailyGlow started in early 2025 as a private document on my phone. I was tired of opening social media and seeing only the loudest version of everyone's life. I wanted a quieter record: the uncle at the kopitiam who knows my kopi order without asking, the golden hour walk I take when meetings run long, the afternoon sirens at 51 Chin Swee Road that I still cannot fully explain. None of it is remarkable. All of it felt worth keeping.

I am not a photographer, though I take the pictures on this site myself with an old phone camera. I am not a food critic or a travel writer. I have lived in Singapore my whole life and still find corners I had not properly looked at before. This journal is my way of looking — slowly, without an agenda.

The name DailyGlow refers to those brief moments when ordinary light falls on ordinary things and makes them briefly luminous. Not every day has one. Some weeks I write three entries; some weeks none. That irregularity is part of the honesty I am trying to maintain here.
